I hope you stayed healthy during the learning period and accomplished the winter exams with success.

The new semester is just around the corner and I would like to give you an update. The products of the spring semester (learning cards and folders) can now be ordered online. The collection and shipping dates can be found on our website directly on the product page. The dates for the summer courses are also fixed. We plan that the courses will take place physically in St.Gallen at the end of May. Of course with a protection concept and reduced group sizes.

At this point I would like to thank you once again for your trust. We significantly expanded our support (online chat, e-mail) last semester to always allow you to receive information in a timely manner. If you were satisfied with our offer, the whole team would be very happy about a positive review on Google (link here). In addition, I would like to give you a loyalty voucher of 20 CHF with this e-mail. This voucher is valid for all course registrations that take place during the week from 22 February to 28 February 2021.

I have also compiled relevant information about business administration, economics and law in this email.

I wish you all the best for the start of the semester and hope that a more “normal” student life will be possible after the break.

Greetings and stay healthy

Relevant information on law, business administration and economics

State law (law B):
Federal law was historically the exam in the second semester, which had the highest percentage of insufficient exam results (up to more than 40% among all students). On average, 87% of Glemser participants passed the B exam in 2008-2020. Please be advised that law B is the only subject in which the German and the English track differ (English track also focuses on International Law).

Business administration B
The Business administration B exam has changed since spring 2019. With the addition of controlling, M&A and financing, this part has become even more mathematical (e.B. discounted cash flow calculation, profit margin calculation, etc.). In the first year (2019), therefore, the rate of passed exams of participants of the Glemser courses fell from 88% to 82%. The great advantage for students of FS 2020 was that the structure of the mathematical exam questions didn’t change  (and is also very likely not to change in FS 2021). As a result, the success ratio increased again to 89.1% in the last semester. This figure is expected to remain somewhat stable in FS 2021. New addition in the Spring Semester 2020 is the part Ethics. Due to the clear structure and manageable volume of philosophical concepts, this did not present the course participants with too many challenges.

Economics B
The part Economics B has changed fundamentally since last year. With the addition of the IS-LM model, topics from the event Macro II are already covered in the assessment. Historically, the Economics B exam was very positive among the participants of the Glemser courses with a success ratio of 93%. This was also the case last year with the new content (92%).
